Research conducted by Brigham & Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School on 51 junior and senior high school students showed yoga does confer benefits to teens.
The yoga classes included meditation, relaxation and breathing exercises, along with yoga poses.
Jessica Noggle, Ph.D. study researcher said: "Yoga may serve a preventive role in adolescent mental health."
